tesa ® 51408 is a premium grade polyimide tape with silicone adhesive that has been specially developed as a solution for applications requiring high temperature and chemical resistance.
tesa ® 51408 is used for a variety of applications, especially for wave soldering, thermal insulation and cable wrapping, as well as for masking during powder coating processes, where the tape enables sharp color edges and offers excellent color anchoring. The silicone adhesive system of the polyimide tape provides high adhesion on various surfaces and makes the tape extremely heat resistant, withstanding extreme temperatures up to 260 °C in continuous use.
